Right?? And that kid was 16 and almost 6 feet tall when that was taken earlier this year!

So do you have to seal the box back up so as not to allow the air to escape other than through the vents?

I'm not sure what he did, but I'll ask him when he gets here later. I can tell you that the air is as strong after the fix as it was before the blend door broke.

Most guys use silicone to seal the box back up.

i dont think the heigth is the problem...way too many birthdays coupled with arthritis will do it to ya though.

That is correct, there is a youtube video out there that shows 3 clicks
from the snowflake the door is closed. That's where I put a new blue dot. and always run mine for A/C, Never had a problem in 14 yrs.
There is also a TSB that reprograms the HVAC A/C that does not allow the evap and blend door to frost up creating a brittle condition.
Check with your dealer.

Came across it on utube, same guy that did detailed door repair on page 5 of posts, anyway was at dealer yesterday getting transmission serviced and asked about reprograming adulator blend door as the video addressed. Both the service manager and tec looked thought TSB's and couldn't find nothing
