Have Relatives in Cape Coral, they said it looks like a war zone.
They are still waiting for power. Restaurant on Pine Island Matlacha destroyed.

Access road to Island just repaired by local contractor.

I also say myself that I haven't seen him here in a long time.
But it's good to know he and his Ruby are fine

Hey guys!!!! Man I tell you what, this forum has a lot of really cool and nice, caring folks on it!! That's why I love it here, and even more, love to help out and share so much of what I know, and have experienced!! To help others pursue their "dream Camaro". I personally NEVER, EVER thought so many folks would be concerned about MY well being, and of course, my Ruby!! You guys all are a class act and from the bottom of my heart,,, THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! I apologize for not getting back on sooner, but me, my self always has a hard time dealing with these hurricanes when you don't know bad it's gonna be, or exactly where it is going to go. It takes me usually about a week or so to recover from the stress being afraid of not knowing, being restless, anxiety, fear, jittery and all the other stresses that go with waiting for whatever happens. But here we are, another one past and I'm ok and Ruby spent the time in my neighbors garage while he went to Cali to visit his daughter. He let me use hid garage while he was gone. Cool guy he is. My heart and prayers though go out to the folks in SW Florida in their recovery efforts, as it will never be the same for a long long time. I have friends in Punta Gorda, and their place is quite a wreck.. But they will rebuild. Once again, I love you guys, and gals and very much appreciate ALL your concerns, and super cool compliments and trust. Like I said, I never ever thought that little ole me, and Ruby, would mean so much to anyone, ever!!! Thank you, thank you again. You all ROCK!!

Here is what we had...

I live in Palm Bay, just 65 miles east of Orlando, 5 miles south of Melbourne. We got hit pretty hard and saw winds on Wednesday night at 11 pm go from 45-50 with gusts at 60 or so, and by 1 am Thursday morning they were sustained 65-70 with several gusts at 81 mph in Melbourne Beach, which is just accross the river, 2 mile from me, and at the weather station at my state park I work at's weather station that is only 12 miles south of me, which I was monitoring from 11pm Wednesday night until 1am Thursday when it went down from a 81mph gust. All these winds were from the SE, which was blocked kind of by a huge oak tree I have on that corner, and my neighbors houses. Got up Thursday morning 8am and it was dead calm, went out to look and it was nice, went back in turned on the TV and looked at the radar on the weather channel, and we were right in the middle of the eye!! 2.5 hours later, here it comes, the west eye wall winds!! They were sustained 45-50 with gusts to 62mph, and lasted for about 7 hours!!! That was a long one as it blew right on the front of my house as it faces due west, front porch, carport, which is where the winds were coming from now. When I went down on that Saturday afterwards to help with the cleanup, the gust had ripped the main computer/power box for the cameras and weather station right off the main pole supporting it!! Here at the house we had a lot of tree branches, sticks and palm fronds all over the place, but the good thing is we never lost power. I have lived here for 54 years and been through many of these, and it never gets any easier to deal with. We dodged another bullet on this one for sure!!

Hey buddy, I’m glad to hear from you. It’s one thing to hear from others that you made and it’s another to hear from the horses mouth. Glad you made out ok and that bad ass car of yours is safe and sound. My grandfather (now well into his 90’s with dementia) lives in ocoee a bit north of you. We used to got see him and my grandmother for spring and Christmas break every year when I was in school. We always hit up Disney, universal and cocoa and Melbourne beaches when we were there. Good memories for sure. That area will always be special to me as well. Can’t wait to see some more new random shots of your Ruby!

Hey there sir!! Thanks so much!! I missed you all, but I needed to "get my act together" so to speak. Been pretty busy with picking up around the house, and helping out down at the state park I work at, and dealing with my 65 year old aching joints after all the workout!! lol. But yea, I'm good, and Ruby too. We are back!! And I'll have to see what I can dig up for pics. Appreciate you bro!!

Hey bro, thanks much!! Nice to be back. Yep, he's a cool neighbor for sure. Retired veteran. He is into bikes. Ruby shared the garage with a Harley Bagger and a Kawasaki KZ1000!! LOL.

Dang, quite the play-by-play action there, 1JEWLDSS! And as others have stated, we're all very thankful you and the rest of the Camaro5 family here have come through. Glad to see you back on the forum, sir.
