What's the best mode?
Will they not let you turn all the nannies off? Even when they are supposenly off, it still makes this puttering sound when it shifts gears (auto). So far the best seems to be track mode...........Is there anything better for releasing all the power?....

Track Mode for the SS and up either sport or touring for the V6 or I4 is the same on a straight line but Sport for Autocross and Road Course.

Yes, it does. Track mode, then press and hold the traction control button for 5 seconds. I can't comment on your auto's shifting acoustics.

Pressing and holding down the Traction Control button for ~10 seconds turns the nannies off. The light in the upper left of the tach comes on indicating stabilitrack is off. Wonder if the sound you are hearing is caused by Torque Management in the TCM, which pulls timing down to nothing when it shifts then comes back up. If that is what you're hearing, it can only be changed by tuning.

Welcome to the forum
Are you referring to the "bark" you hear after a WOT shift ? If yes then that is Torque Management pulling power to help lessen strain/stress and extend transmission life. The unburnt fuel igniting post combustion stroke is what you hear when spark is restored. That can be adjusted with a tune. Edit; I saw your edit wnta1ss after I set my phone down and after I sent my response...I think our thoughts were aligned.

Most of the modern performance cars emit some sort of bark or burble on the shifts. My buddies Hellcat does it another guy has a Scat Pack that does it the ZO6 does it. I've always noticed the momentary hit in power as well.

Here is a random question about the automatics and shift points. I was watching some youtube vids of various automatics racing and noticed every single one seems like they shift early? Do new autos not carry to redline before shifting? THis was common to me among many car brands? But perhaps they shifted higher in the higher gears?
