C7 looks like a nice wing for the money. But I have a few ? Has there been any testing on the wing as far as performance downforce ? Also any high speed testing will the wing hold up to 100-150mph + etc .. Thanks

99% chance that it hasn't been tested at all, long story short it costs THOUSANDS of $$$ to rent out a wind tunnel for testing and it's not worth it for aftermarket companies to do that sort of testing. The majority of the sales of these will be for the "look" of it. That said this wing looks to be as close to the OEM as possible (can't be 100% exact copy for legal reasons) so my guess is it will provide some downforce but not as much as the OEM wing.

To be fair, the GM wing is not some engineering marvel that is the epitome of aerospace engineering. NACA did all the real work on airfoils many years ago and all that data is public knowledge. While it does have some wind tunnel testing, that testing is generally a proof of concept type test that affirms the projections output from the simulation that GM ran on the car as a whole.
If a vendor really wanted to put the time in and model the entire car and their wing they would be able to get a 90%-95% solution with an investment of about $20,000 in software costs. In reality, the software coupled with the NACA airfoil data would allow an engineer to produce a wing with the desired downforce with relative ease. You don't see it done often as their isn't enough profit to justify the added up front costs...good engineers and CAD profs aren't cheap these days. Just my .02 |

These are the latest pics we have at the moment, this is the first Carbon Fiber wing made. We are currently building the molds to get production under way as soon as possible. Stay tuned!

I may have missed it in the thread, but will the carbon wing come with carbon uprights?
