2019 ss collectors item

Since they are changing the SS front end in 2020 do you think the 2019 will be worth more down the road? Like the 63 corvette split window. Nobody liked it when it came out. Now it's worth alot of money.

this will probably be the first and last time the 63 split window Sting Ray and the 2019 SS are compared.

no it will not go up in value.

Fixed the question for you. “Will a mass produced mistake hold value?”

Answer: Did the Pontiac Aztec?

Haha it's a great time to "invest" in a car. Bunches of free money out there looking to go to heaven, imho.

The difference between 19 and 20 is too small, also the 20 is concidered the prettier design. So I doubt the 19 will go up any value at all. It could even happen that dealers will start offering big discounts on 19 SS models once the 20 is out which will ruin resell value for the moment

I wouldn’t count on it... but even if it does at some point add to it’s collectibility your talking 20 plus years down the road if ever.

There are better investments in the stock market.

On the 63 Corvette the split in the rear window made it really hard to see out of and cost a lot more time in production and parts , the designer wanted the split window because he wanted the spine to go from bumper to bumper, after all it was a Stingray. Not many people liked the RS bumperettes on the second gen early 70s Camaros and look where they are now ,everything is about the split bumper . With the 2019 refresh the fact that it was an internet fueled firestorm that led to the eventual change ,which was no real change at all ,but will be remembered throughout Camaros history. I think the original refresh design is better because it didn't crowd the emblems in the upper grille and the flow tie broke up the huge area of plastic in the middle. If history repeats its self the 2019 will be much more sought after then the refresh redo cars, which just adds cookie cutter to the car in my opinion. The 2019s 1LEs out there i say will be the most wanted being much lower production in the future .

Something is only worth what someone else is willing to pay. Didn't sound like many people liked the change and Chevy is having a hard time selling so I'd bet not
