SEMA Grille Insert Question.
Hey y’all!
I located a SEMA grille for my 2017 RS but of course, it’s red. I was curious if anyone knows if you can buy the inserts on their own? Or if anyone has ever painted them? If shipping isn’t awful I’ll be getting them for a good price. It’s the full kit. Photos of what I found attached. Also, if anyone has a OEM quad tip diffuser they want to get rid of, lmk

Hi Christian. I believe it comes in red only since that grill assembly comes with the redline package. This was my 2018

It came in a few colors, sadly the inserts themselves are not a separate item you can buy. I bought my LT SEMA grille in white few years back.
Best option imo is to wrap them or paint them yourself if capable

Idk why I didn’t think about wrapping them, lol. My paint/wrap jobs are barely mid tier at best. Thankfully, I googled and found, 10 minutes from me there’s a guy that has great reviews that does wrap jobs. So I have a plan if I score this kit, seller is getting the shipping estimates.

 Back when I had a 2LT with a V6 engine, I painted my raw (unpainted) new inserts to garnet red at home using spray cans (after surface prep and followed by compounding and polishing the clearcoat, of course), and they came out nearly perfect. Granted, it took a while, but the end result was worth it.

Red goes ok with blue.
The prepainted sema grills come with the inserts snapped on. I did not want to break mine, and they go with my red calipers. Sorry about the sideways pic |

I got the grille, being shipped to me in the morning. PayPal goods and services for protection. I’ll get it wrapped. Still looking for an OEM quad diffuser lol.
