Anybody ever trade-in with plastidip wheels?
Just wondering if it's frowned upon by dealers, if they would deduct, refuse to trade in, etc.

Just borrow/rent a pressure washer. I understand this is an easy way to get it off!

Yeah the wheels have some pretty hard blemishes so I was thinking of keeping them covered

How about just peeling it off?

As long as it looks OK, the dealer won't care and it shouldn't affect value at all.

you could ask them yourself if you want a real answer. The beauty about plasti-dip is that it's removable!

I just traded my 2014 LT in with plastidipped rims and did not affect how much I got for the car. Heck I had plastidip on the backside of mirrors and bottom rockers. Left it all on the car and drove off in my 2015 2SS. Never looked back

When I traded in my truck the dealer was doing his walk around checks...I then told him I plasti-dipped all the emblems front to back but he could peel them away if he wanted to. He shrugged it off and didn't care lol. didn't effect the value. Some stealerships might keep that kind of stuff and put it on display as if its custom.

Traded mine in with black plastidipped wheels. I had added a black painted spoiler too, for the black on red car look. The salesman said he liked the look.

Id really be surprised if 5/10 salesman would even notice if it looked perfectly done.

Hell I have traded in tuned cars w lots of serious mods without them asking i doubt this will raise any suspicion. They are not out to do you any favors so just trade it

Not really because dealers tend to be bastards about things like that. My last Camaro had nasty curb rash on the right rear rim and they didn't detract from the price at all because they wanted the deal. But other dealers will not pick your car on the smallest of things just to drive your trade value as far down as possible.
