If it was not for the carbon fiber wheels the GT350R would have never ran that number. I'm crying no fair, no car company should be able to run race wheels on a factory car.

Well, since that's Team GT350R reporting a time -- without video -- it should be compared to the 7:31 that Team Z/28 claimed for their "good weather" lap. 7:37 was in the rain, on a day where the temps never got into the 60s (as I recall)...
The best parts are this: 1. Competition improves the breed (and our choices, as buyers). This means that the next-gen Z/28 has a lot of incentive to be truly exceptional. Bring it on! 2. This may force GM to return to the Ring with the Z/28, to post a documented 7:31 (or lower) time.
