I had a blue and silver Gran Prix once and loved that color combo. Satin black on a dark color just kind of blends in. So I would go with a contrasting color.

I had the top of my IBM painted Charcoal Gray, when paint samples were laid on the car to see what would look best the CGM Ashen Gray both had a greenish under tone that looked horrible on the IBM, Charcoal Gray goes perfect with it.
