Splitter Protection
Found a previous thread in the Z/28 section describing the ZL1 Addons metal guards but I'm a little reluctant to drill into my cars snout and install the rather medieval looking devices. Has anyone installed the SLIPLO protectors? They have a complete set-up for splitters and ground effects. A little pricey but might be worth it.

Was going to recommend Sliplo, but I see you already know about it. I have no idea if any Camaro guys use it, but can tell you that no one I know is unhappy with them in the vette world.

That's for the feedback. Going to do a little more research then I'll have to pry open the 'ol wallet. Have plenty of these rain channels in my area, if you don't approach them correctly you can make some undesirable contact.

Very familiar with your problem sir. I have a driveway designed by an a-hole, I had to lift my vette slightly on the factory bolts to not leave my painted splitter and winglets behind.

I don't have any physical protection but I do have a camera in front that I can pop up when I get close to anything. It has saved me more than once!

You could probably bribe a few Hellcat guys for their yellow lip protectors

The cameras are a great option, love mine too, but sadly they do nothing for the places you have to drive up or over, like your driveway or overly aggressive rain channels. So having the slipLo helps, but keep in mind, anything you add to the bottom on your splitter, you’re getting it closer to the ground. I have three layers of thick “fabric” tape. I’ve rubbed a couple times, but no damage to the splitter. Just replaced the tape. The key is going very slow. At higher speeds, the tape I have would be pretty useless.
Still, slipLo is a solution a lot of people like. Good luck OP, I know it sucks any way you slice it.
