WTB:Long Tube Headers

Looking to buy some good condition used long tubes. If not I’ll just buy new.

I went with Speed Engineering for my car, they are really good for the price. $529 for the headers and x-pipe setup. They are pretty comparable to the BBKs I had on my old S550 mustang.

Here's what I bought. They have a 2 inch option as well if you plan on going with big boost down the road.

Yes! I’ve been looking at the Speed Engineering LTs and was skeptical with all the talk on this site about how Kooks are the only way. I have the MBRP raceback so I’m hoping that they hook up without much fuss. Still not sure wether I should go catless or just run a pair of Highflows.

I have a brand new set of Kooks Stainless LTs that have also been Jet Hot coated and I have the Green Cats as well. These are the good high flow cats not the $200 set that will melt and collapse over time. this set up is $2400 from Kooks not including the $175 to have Jet Hot coat them. I bought these for my 2018 ZL1 but decided that I can not mod it yet.......ll let them go for $1800.

Those speed engineering headers are getting a lot of attention for being budget headers. Curious the loudness difference between mbarp catback with catted long tubes vs non catted

Yup let’s see some pics! If I don’t grasp em someone here will for sure. Funds may be short now since I just bought a vacation to Mexico for my lady’s 30th.

All I can tell you is I ran no muffler and then switched to the LTs with my NPP on and it is WAY louder.

I installed my Speed Engineering headers and xpipe kit in my garage over about two days straight into my NPP exhaust. They came with everything you need to bolt them up and the only cutting you really have to do is the factory pipe away from the NPP unless you want cats. I live in Ohio and they could care less about loud cars and catless exhausts unless you're being an idiot, so no cats for me. The cut was about 9 inches up the pipe from the NPP give or take half and inch or so. They sound really good paired with the NPP. I have not done a tune yet so don't have any hp numbers. Once I tune in the next couple weeks I will be running e85, CAI, ported TB, and catless LTs.

The quality of the Speed Engineering headers are much better than their price point would lead you to believe and I know a few other 5th and 6th owners that have them and have been happy. Obviously if you have the cash, Kooks or ARH would be awesome. But that's totally up to you.
