I put a garment bag under the convertible "shade" in the trunk and fit a standard roll-a-board vertically at the back of the trunk (front of the trunk? anyway, right inside the opening, closest to the license plate).

You could always put a bag in the back seat and one in the trunk when you have the top down I was going to go that route but managed to squeeze the two bags we had in as described above. If you are talking about full size (max dimension) bags, you can fit one in the trunk, but the top will not be able to go down.... and a 2nd one would probably not fit other than in the back seat.

Good choice of rentals by the way

No way your getting 2 large suitcases in the trunk. The height won't allow it and not large enough side to side. Maybe 1 large and 1 medium bag that can be flexible. In a vert forget it. Get a coupe so you can at least drop the seat down to get larger items into the trunk.

Ok .. After a few more hours of information gathering I've come to the following data on the Coupe. The Vert is still a mystery though.

Posting what I've found so that others that search may find it informative (or not, up to them I guess).

WARNING: The numbers are not guaranteed to be exact.

Code:
Trunk Opening:

Width	Rear Edge:	26.5"	67cm
	Front Edge:	30"	76cm
	Max: 33"	83cm

Length (Front>Back):	16"	40cm

Depth (Up>Down):	16.5"	42cm

Inside Trunk:

Width	Max: 53"	134cm
	Wheel wells:	47"	119cm

Length	Normal: 44"	111cm
	Folded Seats:	68"	172cm

Rear seat to trunk opening:

Width: 38"	96cm

Depth (Up>Down):	11"	28cm
Now if anyone here happens to come across a vert with the trunk open and have something to measure with with them - feel free to share. I'll put it in the OP later so that people can find it easily.
