But we've already established that GM will not go into production less than a year after the first prototypes hit the road. It would be an industry record by many months.

To be on sale in August, we would see CTF cars about now, not camouflaged prototypes.

It is a lot longer wait than August......................unless GM has made quantum leaps in the product development cycle.

Which would put the 6th gen on dealer lots late 2015 at the earliest.

Mustang made it on lots in November/December of 2014.. It wasn't caught in camo any earlier than a Camaro as far as I'm aware.

Because you think YOU should know now is the only training you have for criticizing GM and speculating a delay is simply internet speculation.

I can tell you for a fact GM is playing out a plan for a car that will likely not be available until very late this year. That is simply based on when we saw the first prototypes. Somehow people think a 2016 model should be available in June and therefor there must be a delay. Not likely.

Could GM have delay? Sure. But I highly doubt that. There is plenty of time to address anything found in development. Could they be changing styling? Yes but at this point that too is unlikely.

You have zero basis in fact for your assumptions and I have years of experience in the industry with a marketing wiz for a wife to back me up.

Mirror? You mustbreallybthink that's funny.

I fully support your right and ability to criticize GM. Facts and timing suggest you have no basis.
Don't put words in my mouth #2, I AM NOT CRITICIZING GM ! Saying the car is not being delivered on time is NOT a criticism of GM . Lets not have another thread closed from made up accusations ,Have a nice night .

Yes and as we've discussed history says about 18 months from industry spy shots to launch.

Annnnnnd that's around December.

So the first Mustangs were seen in Camo in August and launched in November?

Not trying to put words in your mouth, just trying to respond to your criticism of GM for not revealing the car soon enough and of this site for treating GM as God like.

You have a nice evening as well.

Oh, and to continue the rumor I'm personally starting, the reason this site treats GM as a living God is the Gen6 launch will be at the C5Fest later this year. Heard it here first.

July/August of 2013 I believe is when the Mustang was first spotted and some were on lots even in late October of 2014.. My buddy didn't receive his until December of 2014. He ordered it in May I believe.

Article shows August 2013. So that would match your guess for late fall this year for cars on the lot. Seems reasonable to me at this point.

Not trying to be funny, but in order for the car to be on time or late an official release date would have to be already set. GM seems right on schedule.

I have to trust your experience, however the assumption is being made that the spy shots arrived the same time in development as they have with every other car. My impression has been that this Camaro has been the most, or close to, secretive release. If that is the case we may have been given the spy shots (I say given cuz i think most are staged) late.

The first spy shots were the aerials from inside GM property right? They leaked them when they wanted to.
