This happened on my SS 1LE about a month ago. One morning driving to work I was unable to take the exhaust out of stealth mode after pulling out of the garage. Tried turning off the car at a light and restarting, still didn't work. When I left work it was back working.

On my car it seems to correlate with opening the passenger door first. The last two time I opened it for my son to get in the back and this morning to put my gym back in the passenger front seat. I checked and the menu items were missing. I'll probably go to the local dealer today and get an appointment.
I hope they don't screw up my car. |

I went to the local dealer yesterday and gave them the TSB I printed out from page 9 of this thread: #17-NA-186. The service writer put it in his computer and found, for Camaros only, it superseded to a new TSB that says engineering is still working on it. I couldn't get a screenshot of his computer but it looked like GM thinks that there is a different solution if only the drive modes disappear vs. the drive modes and the comfort settings disappearing as well.
So, in other words, it seems that there's still no definitive fix for me. |

I think this may have happened to me once, but I'm still keeping tabs. I checked twice yesterday and the drive mode item was there. Someone mentioned opening the passenger door first might be the cause. This is something I do every morning to put my laptop on the seat. I don't use the stealth feature so I haven't noticed it before. Not a big deal in my book.

Troubleshooting and being around computers for so long, I see this is a minor bug that's not worth a dealership visit. If the menu goes away permanently, then that's another story. |

Took mine into the dealership Thursday - they’re replacing the radio, per GM. We shall see if that corrects the problem. |

My 2016 did this last year. I took to the dealer and they replaced the radio. Everything seemed fine until today. Driving mode is gone and the option to change the lighting is also gone. I have headers and no cat's so it's loud with the NPP open. I usually change back to stealth mode for the cold start the next day. I guess it's back to the dealer??

If yours is an A8, try my fix (above). It has worked for me 100% of the time since I started doing it. Painless! Will save you a bunch of hassle...

It looks very much like a race condition during module init, depending on the order and timing of module activation. Doubt it will ever get a fix, these things are not easy to repro with any consistency, and also the devs have very likely moved on to working on something totally different by now.

Wasn't able to get to the dealer Thursday so I went today. They checked the car and ordered a radio. Not wanting a loaner or to leave my car at the dealership I took my ride to the house. I'll have to take it back next week to have the radio installed.

Hey this fix does work. Hasn’t failed on me one time since I’ve unlocked the car before doing the remote start. Thanks
