Help with pricing

I'm looking at a two differently equipped 2017's first a 1LT with a MSRP $28,495
secondly I'm dreaming about affordability in my budget for this one,
a 2LT with a MSRP of 40,430 what would be a fair pricing for these two?
thanks to those who may have purchased something priced similar.
Rob.

You might be able to get some info from this thread from a few weeks ago. Pricing is all over the map but it might help you with the types of deals that are out there.

ok guys thanks for the reply's, those are MSRP prices off the sticker haven't gone into the dealer yet.
A somewhat distance dealer in my state does employee pricing then minus another $500, they advertise no haggle.

buy one a year old. the depreciation is killer on these. Bet you could get in an year old SS for less then 25 if you really look. Cars.com you can find them at dealers for 28k so private you should be able to find a really good deal.

Look for a previous model year if you can find a new one. There are still some out there on cars.com. I picked up my 2016 2lt about 3 months ago brand new with a $39k sticker for $28k. I did have to fly to ND to pick it up but it was completely worth it!

Hey all, I picked up a certified used 2016 1LT 3.6 auto, velvet blue (which I love that color and what I really wanted overall) and very hard to find too.
Its a basic car and that's what fit my budget, so I'm happy, thanks to all who replied with suggestions ill get a pic up soon.

Find a 2016 2lt that's been sitting on the lot with a sticker of around 32k. Offer the dealer 25k OTD, and tell them they can wash it for you. Dealers are like cats on scratching posts, they LOVE to run your car through their scratch machin- I mean, wash machine.
They will laugh at the offer, then as you start to leave the salesperson will say:
"Hold on, let me check with my manager..."
He will disappear, cursing, punching his cardboard wall in his cubicle, looking at a picture of his scowling wife who he assumes is having an affair with the gardener... then... then a beautiful thought distracts him from his miserable life, the thought of a commission check. He will think about that commission... Reluctantly, the sales man will return to you clenching his fists, and speaking through grinding teeth he will mutter, like gas squeaking through clenched cheeks:

"We can do 28,899 OTD."

Then you say:

"BOBS YOUR UNCLE!"

Shake his hand, promise your soul to the bank, and drive into the sunset in a hot new 2lt!

EDIT- just saw op got a car, congrats op
