My first 5 mods were all exterior which is REALLY weird for me as I usually go for go-fast parts. However, with a new platform, the exterior mods came out first. That being written, here's what I would do first if I got a new one Today.

1. Clear Bra
2. Window Tint + Windshield in any of the new fancy clear stuff (I have Air80).
3. Wheels + Tires (they fit the SS with such narrow tires you almost have to go 285/305 F/R to have much fun OR go with some of the 200TW tires like RE71s).
4. Radar Detector Mounted+Hard Wired
5. Strano Front Sway Bar

OK, so Im likely a lot older then many on here. Maybe it's a generational thing where the definition has changed, but anything that was swapped out from stock was considered a mod, cosmetic & for power. Cheers!

+1

This.
"Modify" is to change something.

I've always believed that things like tint, wraps, spoilers, etc are thought of as "cosmetic mods"; and things like CAI's, tunes, catch cans, etc are considered "performance mods".
But actually - whether your purpose behind these changes is to increase power or just to make your car unique - all of these things are "modifications" or changes that you have made to your stock car.

...my 2 cents

1 Paint correction, paint sealant.
2 Find 93 octane locally....one station so far
3 Catch Can, Mishimoto
4 Added gravel guards
5 Pay it off and ENJOY

Back in the 60's as a kid I spent a ton of money working on several different muscle cars. Not many years later I looked back on the experience and wished I had done very little of it. So much of it was nothing more than wasted money. Most of the cars in original condition were pretty good they way they were.

NO $2K exhaust systems, $4K wheel / tire packages or tunes for this guy.
