Well, I'm assuming that you've figured this out since the above post and that you're now all set since there is now content in your sig, lol. If you need any other help though, let me know

I'd like to know why this forum posts come in all shapes and sizes on my iPad. Some posts with pics are super huge, other posts are the way every other forum is and some of them are tiny. And this is all on the same bunch of posts.

It all depends on what size pictures the user posts.

Some people edit their pictures to a nice forum viewable size, while others post the huge images their cameras take without resizing.

I guess bottom dollar, it's a poorly built site. Other sites when I download a pic it automatically crop it to proper size. This makes for a poor site as far as user friendliness is concerned.

Can you recommend the best size for forum-posting to be large enough to view well but not overwhelming? Thanks!

800 x 600 is a good size that isn't too small, yet is big enough to view easily.

1024 x 768 would be a max size to use.
Anything larger and some users will have to "scroll" to see the entire picture.

Remember, not everyone has the same size monitor, and quite a few users are viewing on mobile devices.

Here are two pictures as an example.
The large one is 1024 x 768
The smaller one is 800 x 600

When your creating a thread (or replying to one), scroll down and click on the "Manage Attachments" button.

A new window will open that allows you to upload a picture from your computer.
You click the "browse" button, and then navigate to where the picture is stored.
Once selected, click the "Upload" button to attach it to your post.
