The surgery went great but the rehab is really what's holding me down now. Trying to get all the range of motion back is unbelievably painful. I wouldn't wish this on my worst enemy. It's been 4 months now and still going to therapy 3 times a week. Very disappointing. I thought I would have been back to work by now.
I just haven't had much ambition to do anything but therapy.

Anyone else try it? I'm thinking about buying the wheel today but won't be able to install until November.

Does 2014 vette steering wheel work on 5th gen Camaro ss?! Have anyone installed it with no issues?! Cause I installed 2014 vette z51 wheel on 2010 camaro ss without changing clock spring and got some issues. The horn, shifter and airbag are working great except for radio and cruise control, they don't work. Also there is problem with wheel lights, they work a short time then goes off.

If I had mad photoshop skills, I'd make a picture of a 2011 wheel with the caption, "Winter is coming".

I'm hoping we get some details with enough time to save our hands from another cold wheel winter.

Yeah. Any updates? I'd like to do this before winter, which means there's not much time left.

I am not saying it works or does not, but the wires are not the same or in the same pins, love to see you make this work, GL

Just an update for everyone that has been waiting.
I have the wheel back on and the heat works well. I had to modify the switches a little(with resistors) but I got all those working as well but just the ones that were on the old wheel not the extra buttons. they do nothing.
I replaced the air bag and clock spring and everything is connected but I have an air bag light on. My brother in law is currently looking into this for Me, (He is an engineer for GM) If I can get the airbag light off I will consider this a win. I will let you know what he finds out.
I have the schematics for both wheels if anyone wants to check them out plus the modifications I made to the switches.

Oh and even though I hardly ever use them the paddle shifters do work also.

Yep that was part of the hurdle but it wasn't to bad realigning the resistor ladder network. I was told they use that as a voltage divider network so the ratios are whats important not so much the resistance.

Glad you were able to finally get back on your feet to finish the swap and that you'll get to use the heated steering for the winter.

Question for you ...are the extra buttons you said do nothing the button & arrows for the DIC display menu which on the 5th gen are on the turn signal stalk? Does the DIC display menu still work from your turn signal stalk ?

Still looking to do this hell if the steering wheel switches don’t work it won’t bother me haha. I’m in Florida this week and rented a 6th gen ss and actually driving and using the wheel just made me love it that much more. Love the flat bottom along with how much smaller it is than the 5th gen.

I thought about this project today, when I got in my car that had been sitting in the parking lot all night, and it was about 25 degrees F outside. My fingers were freezing through my gloves.

Can you hurry your brother-in-law?

Just ordered airbag found on ebay wheel and clock spring off gm parts direct. Anything else I’m missing? The heated part is no use as car is driven spring through fall. Also whether the airbag light is on what are the chances it doesn’t go off on impact or off during no impact? Also what was the fuse needed for?

Pretty sure rainbow said he got all the switches to work minus the ones the old Camaro's don't have.

I'm definitely seriously interested in this. The 2015 steering wheel is fugly. It looks like it was taken from a lower model car, not a stylish sports car. The 2016 wheel however looks amazing, and has a heater, which I would love in winter.

I was pricing the parts, and noticed something. At GM Direct they have most of the parts, but their diagram shows a screw, but no name
https://www.gmpartsdirect.com/oem-pa...wheel-23379944

It's the screw next to the air bag. Is that important, or does my 2015 wheel have it's own I can swap?

For anyone looking for some easier links.
