March 6th - Raleigh, Lillington, Fayetteville area cruise to East Coast Classic Cars
POSTPONED. Reschedule date will be announced in April (see post #14 for details)
For those in Raleigh area, we will be meeting at John Hiester Chevrolet at 1 o’clock, leaving at 1:30 for East Coast Classic Cars in Lillington where we will enjoy a 2:30PM private tour of the collection. The Camaro South club from Fayetteville will be joining us at ECCC. If you live anywhere in the surrounding areas you are welcome to join us in Lillington or cruise in with us. Please respond by replying to this post saying if you will meet us in Raleigh or Fayetteville to cruise in or at ECCC in Lillington so we can be sure we leave no one behind and we can give ECCC an idea on how many of us to expect. They are normally closed on Sunday and are hosting only us (along with some of their Camaro friends and recent customers). http://www.ecoastcc.com/ The building they use as a back drop for photos to advertise their cars, has a wall with a 69 camaro painted on it. Should be an interesting photo opportunity for us… Directions to John Hiester are here http://www.johnhiesterchevy.com/HoursAndDirections

Count me in!
I will catch up with you guys along the way. Leaving from Pittsboro, then HWY 421 through Sanford to Lillington. Let me know if anybody else is driving in on 421, and we can cruise in together. |

Awesome. It has been less than 48 hours since the cruise was organized and we have 22 Camaros already signed up. 10 coming from Raleigh and 12 from Camaro South.
Lets Go!

We are now up to 31 people. 16 coming from fayetteville and 15 coming from Raleigh. I did have a list here but it was too cumbersome to update all the forums so I'll just keep everyone up on how many.

Hey Gregg. What a surprise to run into you on Saturday. I just signed on the Camaro5 Forum (USCGret). Be happy to join you Sunday March 6th for the afternoon drive. Sorry you won't be the only aquablue w/ white striping anymore. Will see you at the Chevy dealership on 401. Garth

Lin (the owner of ECCC) can not be available to open on Sunday for us for the next two weekends. Then several of us are attending Camaros for Heros on weekend of March 25-27. So we will reschedule the trip to ECCC for some time in April.
We had all targeted this weekend for the cruise so let’s do it anyway. We will cruise THIS SUNDAY March 13th to the Carolina Collectors Autofest at the fairgrounds in Raleigh. Meet at John Hiester Chevrolet as early as 12 Sunday. We will meet and greet at the dealership then leave for fairgrounds at 1PM. http://www.carolinacollectorautofest.com/ Last year I picked up a couple of parts for the 69 at this show. There are 150 vendors registered this year and a car corral inside. Car show spilled outside last year as well and I’m guessing we will turn heads when we pull in together. Please respond to this to confirm you are going this weekend. There is a $10 entry fee (a $2 coupon on the website drops it to $8). If you are not interested in the autofest please still come out to meet us at the dealership or even camarovan with us to the fairgrounds. I'll post another thread for this updated cruise soon. Thanks, Gregg
