Post AutoMagazine rumors about 6th gen Camaro

TL;DR the 6th gen will most likely have a Turbocharged I4 with a bit over 300 horses. Also they are designing the exterior with some lines from the 2nd gen camaro.

Yup...seems every site coming out with recent article based on this one.

All I can say is if it looks anything like that I will likely buy a hellcat instead.

None of these sites that have released renders have any idea what the 6th gen looks like.

If the 6th gen looks like the 2nd gen, I would buy a Mustang instead.

It's just more desperate "journalism" in hopes of being right on their speculation. While a turbo-4 is very possible, it is unconfirmed.

More details?

Seems that we're now up to 4 or 5 threads on the same speculative article containing ZERO plausible, confirmed details.

Where are the prototypes? If its going into production in a year you would think they would be road testing.

Anyone that says they will buy a Mustang or Hellcat if they don't like the new car should consider a 2015 ZL1. There is nothing new or fresh in either of the other cars IMO.

There were many upset about the Stingray at first too. Then you put aside preconceptions and look at what it really is. Amazing. Need to wait and see before threatening to jump off the cliff

I would buy one. What's the big deal? 2nd gens are actually a hot item right now. There is a lot of love for the 2nd gens and I believe would sell just as well as the current one. Some of you guys are so close minded. Go get a mustang instead then who cares?

Because basically every other report other than the Automobile one says it'll be more of an evolution of the 5th gen.

And even the Automobile article says that at the bottom.

All they're doing is saying "Oh it could be 2nd gen inspired but it could be a 5th gen evolution too. We have no freaking idea and we're just covering all our bases so when the car is revealed we can say we were right either way."

It's exhausting reading Camaro dissing threads and responses all the time on CAMARO 5!! Mods really need to change the format of this thing or this site is going to dwindle down to nothing! What needs to happen is a new Thread should open called "Negative Thoughts" and every one can stick their opinions in there. It's simple, you read a new thread whether it's sounds like a bashing ready to start or god forbid, something positive, you can go to the "Negative Thoughts" thread and post your complaints and negativity there. Then y'all can fight about it there and the rest of us Camaro loving enthusiasts can read and respond positively like this whole Forum started out to be and continue that way. Tell y'all what I'll start the thread. Sorry OP for the thread jack just tired of some of the folks on here that are not really Camaro fans and are "I'll drive whatever" types.

Yes, every thread on this site should worship and glorify the Camaro as it's the most perfect car on the planet. It can do no wrong.

The "big deal" is this is nothing more than a media outlet that needs hits so they cooked up a rendering and a random news story about the 6th gen. If you've been following 6th gen rumors at all, this is completely out of left field. They're talking about the 6th gen growing, everyone else says it'll be smaller. They're talking 2nd gen inspired, everyone else says a 5th gen evolution.

Who knows, maybe the author's wife's ex-boyfriend's cousin's roommate's 2nd cousin twice removed works for GM and told him what the 6th gen would look like and this is actually the truth. All we're saying is this story is making the rounds and it's not consistent with everything else we've heard.

Oh and this:

Yeah this forum didn't start out as a Camaro cheerleading site, in fact there was a ton of negativity back in the day when IVERs were running around with Autozone-spec headlights and people were arguing over the length of the rally stripes.
