Hello everyone - i have been a member on the Camaro 5 & 6 site since the reintroduction in 2009. I have love Camaro's since my brothers 1978 Black Z28 and always wanted one but couldn't afford it. Fast forward, went back to school, got a degree, better job and here i am. I just ordered a 2018 ZL1. Below is the build, i have a spot in my garage waiting for the new arrival. I hope i didn't miss anything on the order.

I hope you have better luck on your order than I am. I have had mine ordered for a solid month and still at the same stage that I started at. Apparently there was a back log on the 17's...and they are going to build the first 6-8 weeks of ZL1's for the dealers that didnt get theirs last year. Its all about if your dealer has an allocation open for that car or not. I would press them on that, and see what is really their situation on that. Also thought that interior carbon dash piece wasnt available anymore?

Geez, are you at 2000 yet? Does your dealer have an allocation?

I was told they have one allocation by the dealer manager for a 2018. I had originally ordered a 2017 and it was denied back in March due to the dealer not having an allocation.

I was told they were able to get the car. As they had two 2017's and sold them immediately of course. Supposedly I am at 2050 for now. I was in to the dealership yesterday and grilled some sales manager for more specific info. Know more hopefully tomorrow. He was going to call GM and find out more. I am starting to think I have been sold a fantasy. Others on this forum, have ordered their 2018's later than I have. And they already TPW dates.

I am not sure about the carbon dash piece, it was an option per the 2018 order form and we selected it. I would like to have it but its not a big deal if it doesn't arrive with it. I am just happy to be able to afford one and order it. If it takes a while, i can wait, i have waited for many years. I hope you get some good news soon on your order.

Stopped by two dealers on Saturday to see about locating or ordering a ZL1. Neither had allocations left or could locate what I wanted.

I can't even order one so you are way ahead of me.

You guys need to school these dealers. There were 90 ZL1s available this week. No allocations for 2018, only constraints.

You are correct, i spoke the manager who orders stock for the dealership where i am buying my car from and there are no allocations however he did say there were constraints on the car i ordered and he should know more this week on a delivery date. That's all I've got so far, I'm going to be patient and watch the show. Half the fun is the anticipation

Dealer manager emailed me yesterday and said my ZL1 would go into production on 7/17. He would email me any progress reports from that point. Hopefully this is really happening.

Just make sure you aren't paying MSRP, and all is good!
