Shortened runners and 102mm modded oem LS3 intake manifold

Here it is. Gotta wait till tomorrow to try it since I livee in a communist country and curfew is still effective... I shoul dyno soon to compare to a Goertz1 short runners manifold. I think my man Hiosilver did an awesome job and it shouldn't lose more than 10hp and will gain 40tq!

I did not have a paper gasket on hand for the 102 so I used a cereal box to make one LoL

The runners are shortened, has a 102mm opening. So its a medium/ short runner intake instead of a very short runner intake.

Gears were incredibly long (like 75mph in 2nd), so it wasn't very efficient. 2nd car was scary fast though. I do have a 4:10 but the 1LE trans makes the thing almost useless.

I'm trying something different and more efficient for acceleration. Plus less rpm will be better for engine longevity.

I remember that Goertz1 intake, that thing was raw and no-nonsense. Curious, what brand of cereal did you use? Haha

Ican tell you that the car really really felt faster than a 600cc bike. 3 people who got in got sort of a motion sickness in 2nd gear (full traction). I was very pleased with it...and I change the combo now LOL I really plan to dyno both.

Golden Graham FTW!! ahhah...

update; car is a lot easier to drive and the torque feels strong very early, noticed it at idle right away (with the light clutch it shows). At 2800, it pulls and torque is very strong. Its another car. The car feels like crap, totally flatline, while still accelerating good, over 5500 and tune is off (untuned). The pull is very strong at 5500 but something is def holding it (tune!). Right now, I feel its 40-60hp down. I think tune will smooth things up and bring it back closer to 550-560rwhp.

This is everything and more haha I was more curious about pictures of the porting process. Have been thinking about doing something like this and really was curious if it actually makes more power after tuning

I think it has been proven that porting doesn't do much. OEM needs bigger opening ✓ some sort of pillar delete mod✓ and runners shortened for agressive setup✓

It takes a lot of time to do it.

There's a guy , suicidal racing (yellow bullets) who dynoed his similar setup and sold it after. It made same power up top like a FAST 102mm and did not lose any tq.
Here it is;

if adding a 102mm opening was an option when i ordered my manifold it certainly would have been added.
looking forward to the results

When you say gain 40tq, you mean gain it back from what your last intake lost?

Or do you mean gain 40tq over a stock intake?

Its all approx, so nothing official, but yeah 40 over the last intake. But now I aint so sure. Since its summer and I drive the car, and had no news from my tuner, I put reinstall the Goertz1 back on and boy its badass and it kicks pretty good from 3500.

The next day I got my tune by email, LOL.

Going to the track this sunday. hoping for 10.9@127. Its not a quick track by any mean.
