Ask the service advisor for a copy of your Workbench Vehicle Report. It will show all applicable warranties on your car and their expiration dates. You will see 5 listed for the 2016 Camaro (mine does) and these apply to any GM dealer who services your car. They are 1. Bumper to Bumper Limited Warranty 2. Chevrolet Scheduled Maintenance 2- Visits (there is a 24k 2 year limit for this one) 3. Corrosion Limited Warranty 4. Powertrain Limited Warranty 5. Emission Select Component Ltd Warranty.

This report will also give you a list of all Required Field Actions (recalls),Service Information, Vehicle Transaction History (even for visits before you owned the car if you bought it used), and Repair Order History. This is where my car shows that it's been to a body shop after they lifted it wrong and bent my front fender :(

All of the above detail has dates and mileage info too.

Your dealer is a douchebag, like most in NY.

Hi,

I took the Mighty HABU to a different dealer than where I purchased her. They said that would honor the 2 free oil changes without any questions. I set an appointment up and brought her back a few days later as agreed. I wanted to wait on it and it goes faster if they have an appointment. This was at Holiday Chevrolet in Williamsburg. My brave heart quivered at the thought of them putting her on the lift incorrectly and mentioned it to the service writer. I shouldn't have worried though. They have one person that does all of the 'expensive' cars; he specializes in any of the work on their vett customers or the Camaros. They let me go out into the shop to meet him (on my own, unescorted ~ which I thought was nifty...). Dude was awesome. He said, before I even opened my mouth (which I am wont to do) "Please don't worry, I'll take great care of your baby." He loves the 5th and 6th gens, or so he said. He delivered excellent service. I highly recommend them if you are ever on travel and visiting near Williamsburg VA. They even have a glass window that looks out into the service bays should you be wired with the same fretting DNA that I must have picked out for myself.

Kindest,

Donner

FREE OIL CHANGE

My FREE oil change cost me $38.50 because I wanted MOBIL 1 instead of the Semi synthetic oil that they use. My Chevrolet Dealer said that Chevrolet will only pay up to $50.00 for the oil change.

Actually the rule is GM will only put in what the OEM factory fill is for the car. The Camaro doesn't get the full synthetic fill like the Corvette does even though the engine is the same.

The dealer is supposed to put in what the manual calls for to the "T".

which is why it's best to do it yourself. Put top end oil and filters in ...fill it to the correct amount and dont destroy your car lifting it because you care more than the 9 dollars an hour guy they are going to tell to do the job cares.

I'd consider the douchey dealership to be doing you a favor by not giving you your free oil changes.
