another car cover thread

My search feature isn't working. Sorry for another cover thread

Has anyone ever added padding to their cover?

My car is parked in the garage next to the shelve that holds all of my water toys....wakeboards, ropes....etc.

My 2016 2ss fell victim to a mishap. It has been corrected. But, I'm wanting to prevent a similar mishap with my soon to be delivered ZL1

I am modifying how I store the lake gear, but was just brainstorming and extra measure

I thought about purchasing 2 covers and sewing a layer of foam between the layers

possible? overkill? thoughts?

Way, way overkill. A good indoor cover is all you need.-->autoanything.com
Wash and dry car
Install cover
Don't take it on or off until storage is over.

Car covers don't scratch if used right. This has worked for me for several years:

If you're that worried about something heavy falling on it why not just get some foam padding and lay on top of the car cover ...

I have a Cover Craft dust cover ,for the time my 1ss is in the garage. I throw a pair of moving blankets over it to further protect it from the three cats. Works perfectly.

Buy one or two of those waffle foam mattress pads. I use one due to a tight fit in the garage, too much junk.
