Aye, i'm just happy me, you and adampau123 are modding the crap out of our cars right off I hate being a guinea pig but it'll help others know what could break and what needs fitment work so far so good though everything I've had on up to my Flowmaster Axle Back on my sig since early October with zero issues.

Trust me. You do not want to deal with the EPA. There are far to many legal restrictions. They can't get a 50 state legal part unless it is approved by the California Air Resource Board, known as CARB. That certification is cost prohibitive.

Caveat emptor. If you're running any catted down pipe, and you don't have the MIL illuminated on your dash, you would probably pass emissions in your area. In my locale, they only perform an OBD check. Other places may want a visual inspection, and then they might ask questions why you replaced the cat. I believe the only acceptable reason for cat replacement is due to malfunction.

The Ontario Drive Clean program which tests emissions in this province is now eliminated as of April 1st this year! Woohoo for catless downpipe!

I just wanted to comment on my observations with regards to this statement.

1) Borla's mid-pipe splits into dual 2.25" pipes, which is identical to the OE mid-pipe. Since it's compatible with their axle-back systems, and their axle-back systems are compatible with the OE mid-pipe, it stands to reason that any other axle-back that is compatible with the OE mid-pipe diameter will be compatible with their mid-pipe.

2) I looked specifically at the installation instructions for both Borla's axle-back and Hooker's axle-back. Both systems appear to require cutting at the end of the suspension cross member in approximately the same location, probably within 0.25" (haven't measured myself, but I may do it to verify). Therefore, it is highly likely that Hooker's axle-back would fit directly on the Borla mid-pipe in roughly the same location, with minimal (if any) difference in fitment.

I would assume so, as it just replaces the straight-pipe piece in the mid-pipe with a muffler. Do take note that you would need to buy that muffler mid-pipe with the rest of the mid-pipe assembly.

Just wanted to ensure this is with hi-flow cat, but without a tune. Injen states their intake gives similiar, very similar, numbers... Yet everyone here says bogus for that CAI.
Seems like a huge gain with a cat there ? Tune or not on dyno run ?

Would like to know where the sound is, between the stock and a non-catted pipe too ?

Now we must put 600-800 miles on this prototype with multiple key cycles to ensure our high-flow cat will not emit a check engine light.

I'll keep everyone posted, furthermore, I should have the prototype Hooker BlackHeart Down-Pipe w/o Cat completed today so I'll post a spy shot soon.

I made this assumption a few days ago that theoretically, you can combine Borla's mid-pipe with an axle-back to form a cat-back system, as most - if not all - axle-back systems cut the stock exhaust in roughly the same place, right along the rear edge of the suspension cross member.

I see you've also migrated over here from the Facebook group. Welcome!

On the website, it says the estimated ship date is two weeks from today... or maybe it's two weeks from whenever you go on their website
