I'm with you guys- no Prius or Cookie Cutter cars for me. I'm 59, my most recent cars include MX5 ND Miata, WRX, Camaro SS, current Camaro RS, C4 Corvette and now my most recent- a commuter car- my 2017 Fiesta ST. Further past I have owned a few Civic SI's and 2 other Miatas all with manual transmission.

Pretty sure that fact is talking about all Camaros out the in wild today (from all generations). Today the average age of owners for any car with 40-50 years of history should be about 40 years old.

The 75% male is not surprising, since women gravitate toward the softer Mustang in V6 convertible trim over any other performance car.

Yeah, I can have some fun now, since the wife and I paid off the mortgage on our house. It's amazing, the freedom that that gives. If I wasn't also helping a kid with college tuition, I'd probably be driving something a bit pricier..who knows. I also have some limits on how much I'm willing to spend on a car, whether I can afford it, or not.

I'm 40 and have been in love with the Camaro since I could say the word "car".

I didnt know how castrated the Camaro was in the 80s as compared to the '67-73 era until I was older but there's not a generation of Camaro that was ugly.

Now we've got a beautiful car with performance no one in '67 dreamed of. And I can afford it long before I have to retire.

I don't find those statistics surprising at all. Given the legacy of the Camaro, I would expect most owners to be older. It's really a niche car. It's far too small and too expensive for most. Especially young buyers. This is why Dodge and Ford seem to always have better sales numbers. Unless you are in LOVE with the Camaro name, you probably aren't likely to just go buy one for the heck of it.

I'm 56 and am driving my fourth Camaro these days! Been driving Camaros since 1983:

1. 1983-2003 - 1983 Berlinetta
2. 2002-2009 - 2002 Z28
3. 2009-2016 - 2010 2SS/RS
4. 2016-2018 - 2017 2SS 50th Anniversary

All purchased new. These cars are amazing!

Winner! I’m your average 52 year old male. I’m on my 6th Camaro, 3rd since the 5th Gen was introduced.

fewer young people are buying cars
during the 4thgen run the average age went up by 10 years. Basically the same people were buying it without adding new buyers.
