Actually it wouldnt be, when you think of how many members there are in Texas and Florida, especially considering where they normally have the fests are too far for a lot of the southern members.

Plus, New Orleans is enough a reason for people far away to come down, other cities may not have as much to see/do

I was born and raised in westwego and recently moved to slidell a year ago, but i still go there at least once a week and I have yet to go visit NOLA Motorsports Park!!! Im slipping bad!! The track will be one of the best if not the best tracks in America when its completed!! I believe it will be the largest road course in the country!! Ive had a few friend go race the go carts and said it was a BLAST!!! Thats also another reason among MANY others why this venue would be PERFECT for the meet!!! Only thing wrong I could see it there isnt a real dragstrip.

There is no drag strip, but there is a huge straight away at least, to do top speed runs, and by then, they may just set up a tree on the straight and use it as a 1/4 strip.

And yes, once the north track is complete it will be the largest road course in north america.

And the karting track, is already the largest karting track in the whole world!
