Tons smarter about this stuff now, off to make bad decisions 305 on 10"and 11" x4 (probably throw lots of gravel from our less than perfect asphalt), or 285 and 305 stagger hmmm....
we race for fun(awesome class lol) and only get out a few times but still want to beat as many as possible per day

Square setup is the only way to go in a 5th gen. They already want to push, staggered setup will do nothing but make it worse.

It was established back on the fall of 2009 that 305/30s were THE setup for the 5th Gen. I just can't seem to remember the name of the genius that did that...

Only reason I can think of for running 20's would be if your rotors/calipers won't fit inside anything smaller.

And 19s get you a bit quicker acceleration by effectively lowering rear gear ratio. It is noticeable

I have the 305s on 10.5" wheels, and I don't know that I'd want to go down to a 10" wheel. 285 will probably be more responsive and maybe a little faster, depending on the situation.

That's what I have been thinking about also some have but a 285 first set might be a good idea just to see the fit not real sure about it there is a back space number also 6.75 back space on the 21 offset and 6.1 back space on the 15 offset they were left out of the weld wheel take over and are new so ... will be in there like a dirty shirt if I knew for sure they would work I believe the may be proud of the fender in which case the 305s are a smaller dia will see in a dry fit up lots of time first asphalt at the track is next June lol

285/35 is still "in spec" on wheels all the way out to 11" wide (the 5th gen 1LE runs this tire width & wheel width combination in 20" out back as OE, the car in my sig runs it on all four in 18" some of the time). You do have to be a bit more conscious of where the car is relative to curbs, though.
