Track is only going to adjust the suspension if you have MRC, but good point. The NPP system on the C7 (which should work exactly the same on the 6th gen) has two settings, AUTO which controls the valve operation based on driving mode or OFF which keeps the valves open all the time. This is quite a bit different from the 5th gen setup which only operated under vacuum pressure to slowly open at a certain RPM. The electronic system of the this NPP is much more tunable as you can see. You should look up some videos of the NPP C7 Corvettes to get a good idea what you are in for, but the SS sound has been tuned differently according the press releases.

Is the muffler and piping stainless steel or aluminized non-stainless? It's hard to tell from the photos.

Also, I'm sure aftermarket exhaust systems would be offered with a single tip on each side to avoid having to swap out the rear fascia.

I would think it will be aluminized. But not sure

That's what it looks like, but that's somewhat disappointing. The optional exhaust on the 4th gen SS was 304 stainless for the muffler and back (SLP "dual dual" or "CME" factory options).

Was it aluminized on the 5th gen? If those are holding up fine, I guess it's not a big deal.

I'm sure when we know the weight of the stock system that may change things.

Yeah they were aluminized on the 5th gen. They will hold up very well for good long time

Looking at the images above, it looks like a lot of space was lost around where the mufflers lived in the 5th gen.

That being said, will be interesting to see what aftermarket companies come up with. Anyone have CTS V under belly shots of after market mufflers?

The underside looks very cramped and the suspension and tie rods? look to limit the space you have to bring in the sized mufflers we have now in our Gen 5's

Just wait. The aftermarket exhaust companies will have new systems for the 2016!! Can't wait to see what Magnaflow will do.

I think npp sounds really good as is. I may never mess with it. But with hfc or headers it really sounds aggressive...at least to me. I wouldn't want any more than what it offers and the tunability is pretty sweet

I used to have Magnaflow system on C5 Corvette. It sounded awesome but drone on the highway was unbearable for me, so after about 2 years, I went back to Z06 TI muffler.

If I were to replace muffler system on the Gen6 Camaro, I'll probably go with Corsa, but I think I'll be happy with NPP - good sound when I want it, and no drone on the highway.

I am too torn on the same question to get NPP exhaust or just custom it. I do like the idea of being able to change the setting, making it stealth in the morning when leaving out. When I test drove the 2014 awhile ago with dual exhaust on it I loved it, but will I want something down the line with a different sound. I definitely will be going to a dealer and test driving a manual with NPP and without, then go from there.

With me, it depends on how loud it is open. I want it basically as loud as no mufflers would be. If its not this loud, I may consider getting the standard mufflers and installing dual electric cutouts immediately before the mufflers. I like loud, but only sometimes

My understanding (based on the pics shared), the bypass valve opens to allow exhaust to go through it and bypass the muffler. The muffler will still be getting some exhaust since the valve does not block it's inlet. So with that said I wouldn't think it would be as loud as no mufflers but probably not a huge difference either. Maybe some others can share their opinions.
