They have been doing impressive things with the ecoBoost Mustangs, I heard GM performance has a tune for the 2.0T that adds 60HP and still retains the warranty.

We might see factory stage tunes like they had with the Cobalt SS/HHR/Regal GS. I wouldn't expect more than about 300hp/340tq from a GM tune, but it will maintain your factory warranty. An aftermarket tune is probably good for more like 325hp/350tq or so, but it will void your warranty.

Of course there is far more to do than just a tune/intake, but the factory options are nice.

So far, we've seen aftermarket tunes add 20-25whp to the LT-1 Stingray, which would be about 25-30hp at the crank.

The GM DI 2.0T already has quite a healthy aftermarket. With a RWD car like the Camaro getting it, you should see some pretty healthy combos from shops like ZZP and Hahn Racecraft.

ZZP is a bunch of hacks and have been known to be a bit on the dishonest side. They have tried to break into the ls scene in the past and basically got chased out. I'd stear clear.

What other mods are you planning?

If that is what you like, have at it! I think a factory color looks better!

Any tune will void your power train warranty. Although some are not easily seen at the dealer level, all can be seen at corporate.

A lot of things on my Sonic are either ZZP products or installed by ZZP. Some of these things were "firsts" for a Sonic and so far they have stood behind their work and I see no reason that might change.

Not sure if you were around for all the bs, deception and lies of their first platform, 3800s.

I just have a very sour distaste for that company and I did spend a few grand with them.

Missed that. I discovered them with the advent of the Sonic.

I know they have grown considerably over the few years I have been going there which tells me someone besides me believes they are doing something right.

I suspect every performance oriented after market enterprise has proponents and detractors and ZZP is not excepted.
