I'm afraid when the snow falls I drive our FWD 1.4 VW Golf that has 150,000+ miles on the clock. It just goes and goes and goes ...

Wow, after that picture I feel like I should clarify while I do drive in all elements, I have to be able to leave my garage to get in them. That type of snow and I'm taking a vacation day. Haha.

My car is somewhat lucky. Doesn't sit outside overnight or during the day (garage at home, parkade at work). I'd hate to have to brush snow off of it. I did a few weeks ago with my hand and cringed at the thought of the ice which was under the snow sliding off. I gave it the best detailing I could before the snow hit, could probably use another coat of wax now.

Funny I got into the office this morning as we are sitting under a snow/blizzard warning for the day and was asked by 2 men how my drive was when I walked in, not sure why they couldn't tell by the grin on my face.....

My '51 Mercury is the show car and the Camaro replaced a Trailblazer. I run Pirelli snow tires.

That's where it's at. Chicago drivers know what's up. A 12/13 second car with snow tires.

i have a new 13 2 LT with 19 inch wheels and pirellis. i didnt want the RS/summer only tires on my car. however, i noticed on cold mornings, my tires seem stiff till they warm up, which surprises me, as i thoiught that was the issue for the 20 inch summer only tires below 45 degrees. mine are 19 and all season and they seem stiff at first on cold mornings too. but , i would not drive my camaro in snow or ice.

..try drivin' in the winter with biased ply tires back in the day, when they were not considered collectibles for the most part in the main stream, and they were only DD"s'. Talk about a mess.

It took a lot of brass to pull that off. Much respect to him.

Btw, I was referring to Mr Pace's upload of the C5 road-master motoring through the snow on stock summer tires. A trek not for the faint of heart. I cried "uncle" and bought Blizzaks.

Then again, looking at that video again, there really isn't much snow on the ground at all, and he was just getting by in some spots...the guy in the other video...now that took balls to keep going (balls, or a serious lack of brains...take your pick).

Have a 4' drift on my front porch this morning, kids have a snow day and I'm debating whether to head to work. Highways are still closed. Everyone in southern Alberta stay safe!
