Passenger Seat Does Not Recline!

I know this issue has come up and discussed a few times on this forum, but I wanted to mention my problem with the passenger seat NOT reclining. In case, it may help somebody else in the future that this might happen to. My passenger seat moves forward, backward, up & down with no problem, BUT when you try to recline it, the motor is trying to work but is failing. I tried manually pushing the seat to try to engage the motor and kick start it or something BUT that didn't work, so I took it to the dealer yesterday, and they ordered a part for the motor. Should be here in a few weeks, hopefully. The only reason I bring this up is because I think this issue came up with another member on this forum and the dealer had to order a whole new seat or something major like that. Me, they just had to order a small part to the motor.

They are lying. No such thing as a small part for the motor.
Everything comes as an assembly from a supplier. It's the whole thing or nothing.

I build 900 car seats a day for a living.

The same happened with mine. The day I was going to pickup the car, salesman called me with this same situation.

The seat motor was going to take 3 days, so they took off from another unsold car and fixed mine. I don't know if it eras whole seat or just the motor.

My car had the same issue , but the driver seat, is still at the dealer for a paint issue . But I was told the seat issue has a service bulletin with chevrolet, there is a stop inside the seat that was supposed to be removed and wasn't , if the seat goes to far forward it stops working!!.
Seems like the QC department is sleeping on the job

I had someone sit in the back behind the driver side move the seat all the way forward so they could get out and went to drive the car next time and the seat wasn't working

With all the BS going on about the seat I will definitely put mine through the paces on delivery day along with a growing list of other things to check. Thanks to all for posting!

Yep sounds like a good plan. Also for some of us who have the car should put it through its paces before your warranty is up unless you have the extended...
