I've seen it mentioned here that the LS3's don't have as much of a problem with drone as the L99's and since a few people told me to beware of the drone with my SLP LM II's I was a little surprised that I like it. I was worried when I was waiting to pick up my Camaro after the mods were installed that I would hate the drone but I honestly don't have a single complaint about my exhaust.

Am I kinda weird for that or are some of you like me and enjoy the sound in your own cars? I have to admit I've only had my car back for a little less than a week so maybe I'm just on a "honeymoon" with the new sound?

I was the same when I put my axle backs on...then I put long tube headers on...that kinda changed lol on the flip side, it sounds mean tho

I added LTH the same time I had the LM II's installed. Do the LTH make the drone worse? I wish I had more experience with this stuff but the low end rumble makes the hairs on the back of my neck stand up. I really like it.

on the last part, but to answer your question I would say so...but I made my post and then realized I posted in the v8 section when I have a v6...I bet your setup sounds killer

Trust me; you don't know the type of drone we're trying to get rid of. It has nothing to do with normal after-market exhaust sounds.

I wish I'd kept that G8 with the PM-FL axlebacks as an illustration of how bad a GM AFM/DOD V8 engine "could" sound. Even you would say something had to be done about it.

Yes you are nuts. If you have real drone and you filter it out, like being able to put on and take off J pipes, you'll hear the true sound of your exhaust and that is a good thing.

I think it takes time. First time I ever had drone was when I took a saw to my truck exhaust. The first six months it did not bother me at all. Then the issues with headaches and nausea started and got worse over time. Towards the end I could only drive the truck for 30 minutes at a time. Luckily by then it was not my daily driver.

I put SLP headers on with cat backs and love it. If it gets to loud for me I crank up my stereo. I'm pushing around 1200 watts through it and it takes care of the drone. LOL

Mutant Racer if your nuts, I guess I am too! I like drone! When I ordered my Billy Boat cat back, I wanted 3" and he said it would drone with the headers! I said thats o k! After installing my Kooks Long Tubes, there is absolutely no drone ! DAM IT !!!

Is it drone when its headers,no cats dual 3" with cutouts and a 232/236 cam? Cuz i love mine too.
