WAY WAY MORE on appearance. I know a ton of people who are putting off performance mods simply due to most requiring a tune and potential loss of warranty. Myself included (It's KILLING me) other than simple stuff that does not give a lot of performance for the buck.

To give perspective on potential revenues. I have spent THOUSANDS on appearance and exactly $1,050 on performance.

Used Magnaflow 3" comp catback my buddy sold me for $400. Cai intake for $500 and a $150 vmax TB.

just my door panels & engine covers cost well over that price.

Definitely more on appearance, for the reason in the post above I'm holding off on the tune for a lilbit longer

$5300 on appearance and $2500 on performance. Another $6-7k going into performance though in the next few months. I was working on appearance because of the warranty but then I just woke up one morning a few weeks ago and said to myself "To hell with the warranty! We don't need no stinkin warranty!"

All into appearance until the warranty is up. Hopefully by then I'll be almost done with the appearance side.

I was going to say about equal until I did the math. It appears I've spend more on performance mods, even though a few of them don't really enhance performance.

Appearance mods: Tined windows ($50), Convertable Spoiler ($125) = $175 total

Performance mods: Skipshift eliminator ($20), X-pipe w/ resonator delete (made myself, $100), Spohn rear swaybar & end links ($237), BMR trailing arms ($149), Dynomax 39494 Axle back ($350), a few different cold air intakes ($1177), 18" Vette GS wheels ($500) = $2533 total

Nothing that really voids the warranty, I don't want to tune the car until the warranty is up.

This is a good thread and I am in about he same boat as most people, except that I bought the extended warranty and the tire and rim warranty. So I have 7 yrs or 100k which ever comes first. But I have done about the same in both show and go mods. I am on vacation in the Dominican Republic until the 2nd of August. The. I head back to Germany and I have some performance mods waiting on me. Vx throttle body, Rx catch can, slotted and drilled rotors. Haw pads and a strut tower brace coming from rivercitycreations soon.

i would say more people do appearance. there is still a decent amount of people who do more performance. and the ballers who do both.
for me i do more performance, and still have better looks than most camaros.

Voted to help ya out Brandon....

Although the results say performance, I'd beg to differ. I think that I see way more people not only buying appearance stuff, but also spending more time in the Cosmetics and Appearance than I do the LS3/L99/LLT/LFX Forums.

That's what I see at least....

I put my money into things that either add performance, or protection. There isn't another 2012 TF3 anywhere near where I live; I own a factory custom and plan to leave it that way.

This is also posted in the engine drivetrain V8 section so who is really looking at this thread more? . Put it this way, i know at least 30 owners locally and i can only think of 6 of those 30 that even have a tune. One supercharger & 3 with cams. At least 25 of those 30 have appearance mods on them.
