Long tubes with high-flow cats and a tune will get you a nice bump. You can also add nitrous for very little money and get a big bang for you buck.

Go get a piece of crap rental car and drive it for a week. I had fallen out of love with my Camaro, but now that it's gone for a week I can't wait to get it back.

What bank are you using because Chase is interest rate is less than actual money. on $1000 you make like $2. Thats not interest, I can find $2 on the street before my money actually makes money in a savings acct.

Seems like your best bet is to find a local car club. If you are looking for speed and power just save your $ for the next car instead of modding it - if you aren't happy with it now a few mods won't change that for long.
Most of the guys here have probably started out with whatever car they could afford at the time and moved up as $ allowed. It's the way of the world. |

the problem is that you never loved the car, you got the camaro because it was the new hot toy of the year.

I love the car, just the lack of power really showed after driving 2 different ss camaro's. Well and after driving that lil 2.3 liter turbocharged ranger, I love the feel of boost

After going forced induction, I've discovered that's what you have to do if you want real gains (at least without tearing into the engine). Sure, headers and a tune will net you some HP, but most of these mods add a few HP here, a few HP there. Trust me, if you supercharge it, you will love it again. It's just a question of cost.
Some people might also question whether it's worth it to S/C a V6. That's a whole other debate, but definitely something to think about.

I would say trade for the V8 if it is speed of the V6 that has caused you to lose interest in your car.
