You can see how the piece of trash used this device to steal my car. On the video he holds his cell phone up with the device you see in the picture. The car parked across the street is the car he got out of.

That really grinds my gears. Sorry to see this.

These cars have to be kept in the garage, and need kill switches, etc.

I canceled my OnStar subscription, too, but in this case if the ****** physically ripped out or disabled the OnStar connection, what do you expect them to do? They can't connect to the car.

I haven't seen a case of a stolen Camaro where OnStar hasn't been disabled instantly, they just need to stop advertising it as a tracking service/theft deterrent unless they change the location of the transmitter or at least make it so the car can't be started if the system is damaged while putting the system under lifetime warranty so long as the customer pays for the service.

Sorry to see this. There's a device for sale on Facebook that shows up in my feed every f'ing day now, that is used to steal key fob codes. People in the comments brag about stealing cars with it. I guess it showed up because I'd been searching Faraday bags.

The lack of accountability for anything is killing this country slowly.

I hope your insurance company compensates you asap. I doubt you'd want it back after they've banged it off the rev limiter for 3 hours straight.

This liberal POS govn't and all the liberal laws make it next to impossible to do what is right.

People need to all stand up, revolt and start torturing these scumbags. I would love to catch one trying to steal my car in my garage... would love to close the door and start by removing their hands.

Sorry that happened. I hope the A-hole gets caught. Hanging's too good for some people.

So is this a relay attack? Is the device a combined receiver/amplifier? Not sure why he would need to break a window if so. And why on the passenger side?

Do V6 Camaros get stolen or is this a V8 only issue?

just conceal an air tag somewhere in the car. Pref in the seat cushion or under a fender well.

I'm sorry to hear this, good luck! Find a new one while they are still available.

That's why both my Camaros are in the Garage, and my family is ok with that even in the cold.

Sorry to hear about your loss.

From the images posted, it seems to be a nice neighborhood with the homes having garages. If you have a garage that could have sheltered/secured the car but choose not to use it for that, then you knowingly accepted the risk. I've read the cost of insurance is rising in your state and that some companies are not writing any new policies, so hopefully your insurance provider does you right regarding the claim.
