Exclamation Offered Free Oil Change.....Confused

Hello, I called a local dealer about pricing on an oil change and they stated "it's free". I'm like even if I didn't purchase my car from your dealership? And they stated "yes, your 1st 2 oil changes are free".

So I'm going to take my car first thing in the morning to see if it's true. If it is, what oil would they use? Do you recommend I bring my own oil? Is it 10 quarts that I would have to purchase? I have a 2017 SS. Thank you for any help

Look at your window sticker. It says 2 free maintenance oil changes. They will use a dexos type synthetic. It is more than good enough. If you want mobile 1, they will probably up charge you the difference, I don't suggest you take in your own oil , that won't be received very well.

MY dealer assured me they only use Mobil 1 at their store. It's the only reason I allowed them to do it. Sure enough, I picked it up with Mobil billed out and no charge.

Wow. Thank you! I didn't know that. I bought my car out of state from a Cadillac dealership so I didn't get fed all that info.
