SS vs SS 1LE springs
What exactly is the ride height difference? The front wheel diameter is about 1" less, so that makes a direct comparison harder to make.
Trying to gauge how the ride height of a SS 1LE would compare to a SS with suspension lowering kit (GM) and SS1LE wheel tire combo.

Any chance 1SS 1LE guys could take measurements on flat ground from ground to top of wheel arch front and rear?

A better indicator would be from the center of the wheel to the high point of the fender arch. That will negate any differences in tire height/diameter. Someone did these measurements a few months back for comparison purposes. Not sure the best way to search for that thread though. Lots of posts about ride height so you would have a lot to sort through.

Based on my calculations, the SS 1LE springs alone are lower than the base SS springs by the following:
Front: 0.336" lower Rear: 0.579" lower Overall ride height on SS 1LE (considering both wheel/tire combo and springs) is lower than base SS by the following: Front: 0.828" lower Rear: 0.766" lower Therefor on base SS, the GM lowering kit combined with SS 1LE wheel tire package would sit: Front: 0.44" lower than SS 1LE Front: 1.27" lower than base SS Rear: 0.20" lower than SS 1LE Rear: 0.96" lower than base SS ********************************* Numbers that went into calcs above: SS 1LE: Front wheel diameter: 26.73" Front ground to top of arch: 27.875" Rear wheel diameter: 27.20 Rear ground to top of arch: 28.0625" Base SS: Front wheel diameter: 27.72" Front ground to top of arch: 28.70" Rear wheel diameter: 27.58 Rear ground to top of arch: 28.83"

Follow-up question to anyone that has lowered an SS 1LE:
Would lowering the front by 0.44" and rear by 0.20" cause any rubbing/interference issues on an otherwise stock SS 1LE? The reason for the question is that I'm interested in running the GM lowering kit, swaybar / front link kit, and SS 1LE wheel/tire combo on my base model 1SS. Keep in mind that I don't have the front splitter go gain a little bit of front end clearance there. So the question is really around any interference in the wheel well area.

I have my Moreno camber plates at the -1/2” ride height setting on my 1LE, and there is no rubbing whatsoever.
Given GM developed the lowering handling kit, I’m betting there are no clearance issues with it.

Thanks for that feedback! The main reason I was asking is because the lowering kit was designed for the SS (non-1LE), which has a different sized wheel/tire combo.
