Exclamation Update

Hey guys,

So here's whats happened so far, I ended up getting my car back from the dealer a few days ago. They said they replaced something called the gateway module and that's what was causing the ecm to malfunction. They reassured me that the car was going to work now. But guess what, after 3 days of driving the car has given up on me.
This morning I went to go turn it on and it wouldnt turn on. I had to wait about an hour until it was finally able to start up. I just got back from the dealer, and am feeling beyond frustrated. They ended up telling me my best bet is going to go through the lemon law buyback because there's nothing they could do about it. They finally agreed that the car is defective. But what angers me is that I have to go through this process again in the same year. I'm honestly thinking of just getting my money back. I love my camaro but I cannot deal with this problem again. Any advice or feedback helps. Thanks guys.

Damn, sorry for your situation, totally unacceptable. This car is sounding more and more like GM's greatest shot in the foot of the modern era. In '15 I was really excited about it but knew better than to sign up on the first year. I took a break here for a while, come back to see how things are gojng and there just seems to be more and more problems instead of ironing out the bugs. No thanks GM, I'll be staying in the 80's for a while longer. It's really a shame too b/c with a few different design choices and better QC and the gen 6 would have been one of the sickest Chevy's in history.

You can get into the 21st century by getting a '15 Camaro. I've had mine since late '15 and have had no problems to date. Those Canadians knew how to put them together

I wouldn't sell the Monte SS though, I'd keep that too. I still have my '89 GTA.

I'm currently going through the lemon law process. Does anybody know if I still have to make payments on my car if it doesn't work? I don't find it fair that I have to pay for a car when it only works sometimes. Anyways, I'm pretty much over being "sad" about the car. Here's a link to my youtube, Im hoping to put up videos of the rest of the stuff the car does, just in case anybody else has the same problem. It is a long video but it does give you guys an idea of what I'm going through.

I posted a photo of my what's popping up. It's saying Service Stabilitrac and the check engine light is on again. Sadly, the car won't start yet again. I also hear a weird clicking noise coming from the back of the car when i try to remote start it.

Hi Johnny, my 2018 Camaro RS has given me issues since I purchased it and has been back at the dealer several times for the same issue with not fix or replication from the dealer. I wanted to know what issues you had with your RS to have it lemoned? And what the update is with your SS?

Not sure OP will still post 3 years later, but here's what he did about his car: https://www.camaro6.com/forums/showthread.php?t=520763
