Adding homelink

So after a long time we added the Homelink to the 2.0T car on Friday, i am happy to report it all worked out, but it works slightly different, made a plug and play harness out of our Radar harness, but by doing it that way power is of if you turn off the car, it does not loss memory of your presets and works other than that as it was meant to.

P.S. at the same time added the lighted door plate.

They’ve made a plug and play harness to add Homelink to cars that did not come equipped with Homelink. The only difference is, the ignition will need to be on to use Homelink unlike the factory setup.

Woohoo, rock on. Where do we find the wiring harness and how much?

Some of the newer stuff is going with no Homelink unless the ignition is on, this keeps the thieves from being able to get into your car in the driveway and hit the button to open your garage.

What exactly is needed to get this working on a 1SS besides the harness itself? Trying to gauge the total cost.

The harness and the new overhead console, that's it.

Thanks! Do you sell the overhead console or have a part # for it?
