I drilled a hole in my trunk...
.... so I could put an American flag through it! I bought a trunk lid off Craigslist and painted it green with a rattle can, didn't turn out too bad

Oops haha. I painted the trunk with a few cans of a fluorescent green I found at Walmart, it was pretty windy so the paint is very rough and you can see lines because I had to spray pretty close, but nonetheless from 15 feet away it's a pretty close match. I can't really get a picture of the inside because I can't open the trunk.. but basically I drilled two holes through the pole+pvc, one towards the bottom and one right up against the trunk lid. The bottom one is to anchor it and stop it from swaying by putting some string around it and around the two metal anchors in the trunk, the second hole at the top has a long bolt and some washers through it which stops the flag from being able to be lifted out. It's pretty jimmy rigged but for the last three days it's worked great, no issues even at 75 mph.

I saw a kid driving a charger with his buddy in the back holding a flag out of the window. He got pulled over! Stupid young kid doesn't realize he's already being watched by Johnny law due to his young age.
