Hello,

Experiment with tire pressure. Ensure that you are not carrying junk in the trunk, (meaning strip out everything you can including the floor mats), and run him with less than a 1/8th of a tank of gas. Like women, excessive weight matters and mostly in a bad way.

Heh, low-mid 12s in the 1/4 is "slow" I guess. As I recall, that's what the SS runs.

I suppose a new 911 Carrera S is slow too. Only 420 hp, and 368 lb-ft. of torque. What a dog!

Can we stop the discussion now? That's an M4 which is more powerful, lighter and has so much more torque than the E92 M3. Depending on the launch M4 and Camaro are dead even.

Whats the point of posting F80 M3 videos?
OP is asking about the previous gen (e90/92) M3, which can run low to mid 12's stock with DTC which is about what our cars run in stock form. Not sure why people are triggered by an M3 hanging with our cars lol. Probably a drivers race none the less.

This thread actually went all over the place, from early M3's to then M4's and then etc... Fact is BWM's are no joke. But just like every other car out there you never know what they've done to it. That's why you get insurance and make your sh$t bada$$. But never forget there will always be one that is better. This is kind of my curse. I like to know that I chances are in my favor but some may throw more money at then you do.

Because if the Camaro can keep up with the F80 then it can easily destroy an E92 which answers OP's question.

It is great that we are talking about a Camaro (non-ZL1) keeping up with cars two times the cost that were made to be fast. M-series BMW's and 6th Gen Camaro SS' are now a driver's race.

I'm a little late to the discussion but my buddy has an E92 M3, and I beat him every time, even when he goes WOT in front of me I always catch him and pass him. He's a great driver, the fact is simply that we are faster than the E92, but they are NOT a joke! I was looking to purchase an E92 instead of the Camaro, only reason I bought the SS was because it was faster/had a little more new options in the car...mainly because it was faster.

same here, I was close to going for the E92 M3, but then I realized I could find a 16 SS that is faster and cheaper. Plus the bearing issue with their v8's scared me as well. Beautiful car though, I like the looks a lot.
