Ordered my new Camaro - Need your take
Hi all, I ordered my 2016 Camaro 2SS back in August with an expected delivery date in mid-October. I was wondering, since the car is brand new, if anyone has any opinions on if Chevy will offer any cash back or consumer cash to help with the price? Just hoping I didn't get myself in over my head is all. Thanks!

Being the first on the block, be prepared to pay up.

But as far as incentives or cash back, most likely not. It's a brand new car that will fly off the lot at MSRP for well over a few months. Typically you try to jockey a deal before you order your car and get it in writing.

Thats what I figured. Build week is October 12th and will be delivered about a week later according to the dealer and Chevy Care on Twitter. Just have to get the price right with the deal. We ordered it blind because Chevy hadn't released pricing yet. No deal was made yet

you can still negotiate based off invoice pricing some got invoice, some got just over invoice, and I think one person mentioned getting just under invoice.

On the other hand, we all know all dealers know much more about the process than I and of course if your dealer says a week, than a week it will be: proof I have no idea what I am posting about. I know some of the Chevy Customer Service people and have met several more. I like them, they are young, bright and IT proficient, which is something I am not. They are also not "car persons" which is OK with me and seems to be working for GM. Laborsmith |

I am just assuming Nov-Dec timeframe for delivery, so if it show up sooner I can be crazy happy.

Accuracy is dependent on an October 5 start which as of now seems to be good.
If regular production had started, there would be one or two thousand sitting in the holding lot and per my memory the LGR lots are easily visible from the freeway. Someone would have noticed. Laborsmith |

Yeah my dealer told me the week of Halloween for delivery, if not sooner. I'm kind of on a time crunch being in New York. Really don't plan of having it out in the winter. Just hoping I can get a good deal

I have a TPW build of 10/12 as well, that would be awesome to take delivery during Halloween week, but I am not holding my breath, I am thinking it will be the first week of November at the earliest, as long as everything goes alright...hope I am wrong though!

This brings me back to 2010! When I put my order in, I was told NO off the bat on any discounts and they would not budge. Then the car was done in January of 2011. It was in holding then the truck drivers went on strike... I was not a happy camper. Then on the 22nd of March 2011, I just so happen to be driving by my dealership on the way to dinner and saw my baby sitting on the top rack of the truck in the parking lot. It was a LONG week before I could pick her up due to my work schedule.
Good luck on the process!! I'm hoping to swoop up one of the first allocations for the 2016 vert! I just missed the coupe for not being proactive, but I guess verts are just meant to be for me!
