new Camaro
hi, so I just bought a used 2010 LS, really nice, I feel like it's my new baby. however, I noticed that when in speeds above 60 or 70, the rear end kinda wiggle in bumps, pretty sure that's not normal, anyone can guess what the problem is? suspension maybe,

Possible....how many miles does it have. At those speeds you should be rock solid.

The car shouldn't have any issues at that speed. I bought a used Pontiac Grand Prix several years ago that had a similar problem. It turned out that the car needed the wheels balanced and a four-wheel alignment. Nothing was broken, it was just normal wear and tear on a used car. If there is a balance or alignment problem then it will wear out your tires and suspension prematurely.
If you bought from a dealership I would take it back to their service department and explain what you feel. If the car is still under warranty then ask them to inspect it and possibly balance the wheels and do a four-wheel alignment and see if that resolves the issue. If you purchased the car from a private seller then you may have to take it someplace to have this done and pay for it yourself. If that doesn't solve the problem then hopefully you still have some warranty left on the car to have a dealer inspect the car for worn parts that can be replaced under the drivetrain warranty. Good luck! |

18000 miles, but I think I agree with Mark114, it might be just the tires, I got the car from a private seller, no chevy dealers where I live (have you noticed my location )

CONGRATS on the ride, and Welcome to our happy little corner of the net, and to Camaro5. There is a BIG fridge on the back porch with anything you can think of in it...help yourself...of course only take what you can LEGALLY have. Make yourself at home on one of the big fluffy couches, kick your shoes off, put your feet up on one of the tables, yes we are allowed to do that, mom's, wive's, husbands, girlfirends and boyfriends here don't care....and take it easy.
oh...btw....every once in a while a food fight breaks out...so you may not want to wear nice clothes here. Welcome!!

As mentioned, might need alignment/wheels balanced. I've gone well over that speed and my car is smooth as can be. Congrats!

That looks great! You must get a lot of attention driving that around Baghdad. Hopefully balancing or new tires will fix it right up. Enjoy.
