People make ridiculous claims towards your camaro?

Have you guys received any ridiculous claims from anyone regarding your camaro so far in ownership? I recently had a friend ask me about my SS. He seemed interested in it, but the second I said it was automatic, he immediately said his BMW 2 series could easily beat me in 0-60 and quarter mile, simply because his was a manual and mine was an automatic.

Even after explaining I've gotten a 3.9 0-60 recorded and the auto is generally quicker than the manual, he still insists I'm crazy if I believe my camaro SS is quicker than his bmw 2 series (rated at a 0-60 of 5.8 seconds).

Has anyone else had ridiculous claims by people about your camaro or its performance capability?

Guy at work told me his ragged out 04 v6 mustang could hang with my 16ss all because he had a manual and I got the auto.

Just tell em to put their money where their mouth is and meet em at a local drag strip to straighten em out.

Race him and report back whether you beat him by 10 or 20 car lengths.

I've had a couple of co workers who both drive trucks and have couple of minor mods. (Exhaust,tune) that think they can hang with my SS. Yeah ok

This reminds me of this Mustang GT owner calling out a ZL1 owner at the track. Young guy in the Mustang didn't know what a ZL1 was. He now knows. It was not pretty.

The V6 could also beat him in a drag race

Last month, when I was buying oil/filter, the guy behind the counter at the auto parts store said i should have got the the v6. It handled better and was a faster track car because it was much lighter...
At this point, I nod and the conversation ends. I don't waste my time.

I've already proved to the Mustang guys at the track. I ran a 15 mustang and dusted him pretty good. He ran 12.50's to my 12.05. Then I spotted an older stang over 2 seconds in the first round and caught him right in the lights. I ran 12.04 to 14.35. So those mustangs are pretty fast. Not.
