Trading in my camaro, questions
I'm trading in my camaro for an Alfa Romeo Giulia Ti Sport. I'm throwing a chip on it and it's going to bring it down to 0-60 in about 4.6 seconds. It will be a downgrade with speed with my mods I have but it'll be pretty close to a stock 2012 camaro ss. It was a real fun car to drive. I've had this car for 8 years now. We had great times but it's time for a change. I wanted to take off some mods I had on it and sell on here. What cheap cold air intake would you recommend to put on so i could take off the cai one? Also I have headers and a remote tune. I was thinking about bringing it back to stock and selling the obd remote unit. Would that throw a check engine light?
Thanks If interested I'd be selling cai cold air intake ported throttle body vitessee throttle controller maybe tuning controller

Sell the Camaro as is if your going to sell it . The overall cost of parts and maintenance on Alfa's and the horrible reliability mya not be to your liking . All Italian cars are going to be problems ,and not as cheap to maintain, modify and keep as a Chevy . Look B4 you leap.

Check your local salvage yards you can most likely find a stock unit cheap.
On trade in you would likely get more money if they didn't think it was modded. Mods scare dealers. They wont say that but they won't give you as good of a trade in.

Not familiar with the 6th gen , but ALL Italian cars have the absolute worst of the worst reliability in the industry . Been that way forever.

Prices are high for used right now, you are way better off leaving the mods and selling it outright. 6th gens don't have reliability issues, not sure where you are getting that from, I process warranty claims for 15 GM dealerships, I don't see many of them in for warranty work at all.

It don’t come easy.

Do you still have the stock intake? That’s the route I’d go.

I agree. Unless you already have stock parts/replacements for the expensive stuff, just leave it for the next guy. It's really not worth the headache to you and the buyer is going to get an awesome start on their build, as long as the dealer doesn't strip all the good stuff off of it, but I doubt they would bother. It would be different if you were getting into another 5th gen.
With those mods it's a shame you aren't selling it privately to someone that is in the market for a nicely modded 5th gen. A lot of those mods can't truly be appreciated by someone that knows little about these cars... ie, the front bumper conversion, ZL1 wheels, springs, exhaust, and tune. But either way, it's gone once it's gone, so not your problem.

trading in a modded car will get you the same price as stock or less. most people see a modded car and assume it’s been shitkicked. return it to stock and then sell the performance parts separately .
