Another "Sevice Parking Assist" Thread
This morning I am getting the "Service Parking Assist" warning on the DIC and no warning signals to My Link. Figures, 5 Days after the Bumper to Bumper expired with only 11k on the OD and no Mods.
Tried the Configure mode to shut off and back on - Still doesn't work. Shut car Off then On - Still Doesn't work. Disconnect Battery Cable - After work today I will give that a shot. Called the dealer to see if they could repair it under warranty even though it has expired, but they told me they would have to diagnose it and send the repair cost to GM for approval. Diagnostic Test is $80 alone, but would be waved if covered. Soonest they can get it in is Thursday Jun30th. Even called Chevrolet Customer Service to be told the same thing after being on the phone for almost 45min... Anyone have any other suggestions or know what this will set me back? Thanks... May not make Ypsilanti...

I may attempt this myself... Does anyone know how the sensors are mounted in the bumper? Any special tools or things I would need to know? Thanks.

It's very highly technical procedure, Only for us highly skilled people, LOL LOL
Put the key ON, don't start the car. Car in reverse. Go to the rear of the car, put your EAR on each sensor, tap sensor lightly with your finger, you should hear a very faint click on each tap. No click sound that sensor is bad, LOL -Bobby

Update: Well, after spending money on a sensor and the color matched paint, I found that the sensor was actually diconected. At least I know how to remove the fascia. LOL!
