It would be a swap between cars, so you, or I would still have a manual car to drive. I’m curious how it would handle and how much faster it would be specially on the drag strip.

Only reason I have not gotten one yet, I want the A10, and am holding out to see if things change.

If I had 100 chances to make an auto 1LE I would choose manual 99 of those times

and on the 100th one I would also pick the stick.

It will be slower than a ZL1 a10 on a drag strip. Downforce comes with drag.

ZL1 1LE with an A10 anytime

I'm interested in road course driving and I'd opt for the A10

I have been banging this around the inside of my cranium for some time.

Fair discloser; My ZLE will not be a DD.

I understand that I will never be as fast as I could be rowing gears as I would be having my gears shifted for me by a computer. With that said, the experience (for me) is much more ethereal in analog than it is in digital. My connection with the car is so much more sublime in manual. When I am in that place, I will gladly give up a few 10ths in exchange for the realization that it was my kindred relationship with the guts of that machine that got me to my goals. As opposed to reaching that target via the latest digital technological innovation. Old school, I guess.

Whether on the track or on a Sunday drive, it's so much more satisfying to me to be an integral part of the mechanical workings of the relationship between me and my car.

If my livelihood depended on my lap times for food on the table and paying the bills; no brainer, give me the auto. It doesn't, so I choose to fill my soul with the relationship between my skill set, my experience and my machine.

No question. Give me the M6.

The beauty of the a10 would be its ability to make you competitive in both drag racing and road course, whereas M6s are totally handicapped in a straight line, unless you are talking roll racing.

If cost is no object then change it. The A10 is all it is cracked up to be by all of the reviews and posts. It is a costly change. It might even require changing the radiator maybe not. On most cars there is not transmission cooler for manuals but you might could reuse this one.

waterman, unavailable, Bobby, and some others will get this:

Find a nice twisty road or road track. Not only will you be racing but also your mind...that's the joy; that's the experience with the machine.

As long as I'm physically able (and for however long they make them) my sport cars will have 3 pedals.

I have been to the Tennessee area several times and love the mountains and have driven them. I would love to transport my ZL1 to there in an instant. Drive "balls to the walls" and then come back late afternoon with a smile on my face.

Signed,
M6

After having an a10 16 zo6 and now having the zl1 1le, i would not swap. I really enjoy a manual. However, if it were a daily i might think different. I don't care about a tenth of a second here or there. The connection and precise feel i get from having a manual really ramps up the driving experience for me. Ive also had 2 dual clutch cars and that was as close to the level of a true manual as I have felt in an "auto". Like the auto, but I love a manual.
