OP - depending on weather and road conditions (colder weather or tires, low traction asphalt) I can get the tires to break loose by punching the throttle with the clutch all the way out while in first gear (M6). Most of the time the car just squats and goes. Pretty normal - I think. In general these tires hook well and the chassis/suspension plants the tires to the road.

Because after all spinnin' ain't winnin".
WELL SEEING AS I AM THE ONE WHO STARTED THIS THREAD TO BEGIN WITH.
YEA THATS RIGHT I AM THE OP!!!! I FIGURE I CAN POST UP WHAT EVER I WANT!!!!!!!!!!!!!

AND IT DOES PERTAIN TO THIS THREAD!!!!!

Maybe if you would have read some of the posts in this thread you would have seen where some of the posts stated (the more miles you put on the motor it might loosen it up a bit)

SO YEA IT COMPLETELY PERTAINS TO THIS THREAD. MY THREAD, MY QUESTION, MY RESPONCE TO SOMEONE STATING THAT MAYBE THE MOTOR MIGHT LOOSEN UP A BIT WITH MORE MILES ON IT!!!!

Whoa, easy ! My bad. You are right. You can post whatever you want in your thread. I did miss that point. Sorry! Peace.
For what it is worth I did also give some input about how my car performs when I punch it in first gear which I believe is feedback you were interested in. Enjoy your road trip!

I spun the sh!? out of the tires on the test drive. Punched it going about 25... I was expecting a chirp. Got some noise out of the salesman in the backseat too!

Brought it home the next day and they broke loose on the freeway at 50mph... got a little sideways and had to adjust the sag on my BVDs!
Hasn't been as loose since. Maybe the tires got a little slick sitting in the desert heat? I know this one was on the lot for quite a while.

Breaking the tires loose

2016 1SS M6. If you want to break the tires loose while moving turn off traction control leave it in 1st gear get the motor up to 3000 rpm's then nail it. You will spin the tires.

I upgraded to 305s in back but I can still break them loose on a hard launch...or in the rain.

I can break mine loose in 2nd gear at 35+ with TC on, then it kicks in and regains traction. This can happen under WOT in first with a quick shift into 2nd under WOT. Doesn't seem to matter if the tires were spinning in first or not. If I disable TC, then it's a given that I can do it.

Stock tires. 7k miles on the car. 6M. 2500' ASL.

would like to do a cars and coffee with other Gen Camaros, but I don't know anyone who has one. Or where to post it to get attention.

I noticed that with the M6, I have to have the rpms up a bit. Like most have said around 25mph and the rearend gets squirrely.

I have seen this video on You Tube of a guy in a yellow Vette. he's going to burn up some tires because he's got new ones coming.. Well he dumps the clutch and stands on the Brakes the only thing he Burns is his clutch... What did he do wrong? My 2013 1LE with 315's on the back was the same way. I'd dump the clutch and the all I got was a burn smell from the clutch. it wouldn't break the tires loose???? PM me an answer if you have an Answer please. I won't even try it now in my new 2016....Me or the car was doing something wrong <<<
