Autoport is the dispatcher but I am not certain all rail bound LGR builds go to Charlotte. My look at the google map view revealed no Cadillacs but a lot of Chevys and Buicks assembled at the close by Lansing Delta plant. It seemed to me there should have been some CTS builds if the view was old, and maybe there were but I could not pick them out.

Just a little shocked the cars are not going out based on ones built first. Just seems they roll them out as they can. I am not a fan of that, but hey... logistics.

Yeah mine was sent via Autoport, just says from Lansing to Lansing, Mi, there is a rail yard in Charlotte, mine is at 4300. Once it goes back to 4200, probably later on this week, I will check with my dealer again to see if there are any more details, like rail car number.

I can see the last one off the line 10/23 traveling on the same hauler as the first one off the line 10/05. Dispatch does not care who ordered first or which was built first. Shipping 3, 4, maybe as many as 5 thousand builds in the course of several days can not be easy. And there is a shortage of car haulers, both rail and truck.

But the important thing is simply the shipping process has begun and that merits a great cheer.

Laborsmith: took several (equally bad) shots. I think this lot was west of MLK between Olds Ave and William. This lot was empty last time I was there..

Wonder if all Grand River Assembly Plant cars scheduled for rail might be trucked to the nearby Delta Plant (Traverse, Enclave), where there is a big rail loading facility. It might be called "Lansing Charlotte" based on location.

Better shots than I took. Charlotte as the interim destination is the popular theory but I remain of the opinion the rail autocars are actually loaded on site. My memory is the Lansing Delta Plant is relatively new and the LGR goes back to Oldsmobile so my theory is autocars were and are loaded there.

That area was completely empty Thursday afternoon so no one is stuck behind them. That view across the river is where my classmate lives.

One can not get these kinds of shots at BGAP when Corvette is ramping up production. Thanks Lazruss.

It's crazy to think that that could be my Red Hot SS right there. I'm just trying to be patient for her to be shipped. I mean, it's not even 4 hours away....

What the heck does "We had one allocation for this week and used it on your camaro" mean from a dealer? I put this order in last week and I guess apparently it only went in today

Maybe last weeks allocation was already spoken for and they put yours in as soon as they could.
